For the past 30 years or so I have been living my life as a Broadway performer. From a very young age I knew that I either wanted to be a Broadway performer, or the second baseman for the NY Mets. The Mets never called….Broadway did. My Bar Mitzvah theme was “David on Broadway”, and I did get to play second base for the broadway show softball league…so, WIN WIN? My theater career has brought me so much joy and I am filled with tremendous gratitude for everything it has taught me, the connections I have made, and where it has led me to this point in my life. I have been lucky enough to be in such amazing Broadway shows as Les Miserables, Grease, The Wedding Singer, Motown, Honeymoon in Vegas, An Act of God, Waitress, The Prom, and most recently Beetlejuice. I also got to live out my boy band fantasy in the off-broadway hit the Altar Boyz. And now………………the jump! For the past few years I have found another passion. I have become a personal trainer, a health coach, and most recently a Breathwork instructor. I have always been interested in positivity, health, wellness and learning for myself, but recently found the absolute joy and purpose of helping others. I realized that what I craved about theater, (connections with audiences, connection with my tribe), I get 10 fold by helping others. Breathwork is my true passion. I have seen it help others miraculously. It takes that little voice in your head that says “I can’t”, “I’m not good enough”, “I have no energy, time” “I wish I could” “I’m too old” “I’m too…” and silences it, allowing you to be the best you. The authentic, joyful you. And Breathwork is a guided meditation with music soooooo, maybe I’ll be able to put my Broadway skills to good use…..no baseball tho!
